With over 35 years of practice experience, John Anderson offers substantial land planning and landscape architectural design expertise for a broad array of market segments, including educational, institutional, medical, corporate, urban and commercial clients.  

His work experience includes time spent at several distinguished design firms, as well as operating his own firm, Anderson Design, Inc. from 2001 to 2019. Work at these firms focused on all aspects of landscape design development, including project management, business development, client interaction, program development, design development and construction administration services.  Within The Satre Group, John manages projects and clients while participating in overall firm management.

From 2016 to 2019 he was on the faculty in the College of Environment and Design at the University of Georgia and is currently an instructor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Oregon. He holds LEED AP professional certification and is a Registered Landscape Architect in the states of Oregon and Georgia.
