Located within an environmentally sensitive parcel, The Satre Group provided land use planning, subdivision and overall site design for this affordable housing development in the Thurston neighborhood of Springfield. An extensive wetland area was turned into a neighborhood amenity with pedestrian access and a walking path system that included educational signage about the wetland, stormwater management and biological functions in action. The result is a cohesive and attractive residential development that is a welcome addition to the surrounding neighborhood.
